Privacy Policy

Applies to: fresherzjob.com and every page, email and notification we send from it.

Fresherz is an internship and entry-level job platform for Bangladesh. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect about you, why, who else sees it, and what you can ask us to do about it. If anything here is unclear, write to us at support@fresherzjob.com and we will answer in Bangla or English, whichever you prefer.

Who runs Fresherz

Fresherz is operated by Fresherz, House no: 6, Road: 02, Block: L, Banani, Dhaka 1212, Bangladesh. One address reaches us for everything on this page and everything else: support@fresherzjob.com. Write in Bangla or in English.

What we collect

What you type in. Your name, email address, mobile number, city, date of birth, headline and "about" text, work experience, education, projects, certifications, skills, languages, links, salary expectation, notice period, availability, and the type of work you are looking for.

Your CV and your video introduction. If you upload a CV, we store the file. If you record a 60-second video introduction, we store that too.

What you do here. Applications you send, cover letters you write, screening answers you give, messages you exchange with employers, listings you save, searches you save as alerts, companies you follow, and reports you file about a listing.

Employer account information. Company name, logo, description, website, address, the people on the account and their roles, and the listings they post.

Technical information. Your IP address and the requests your browser makes, kept in web-server logs for seven days for security and abuse prevention.

How we count visits. Separately from those logs, we count page views on our own servers so we know which parts of Fresherz are used. We record the page address in a generalised form (for a listing, a company page or an article we also note which one it was, because those pages are public; a candidate's profile is recorded only as "a profile", never as whose), your language, the country and device type your browser reports, the site that linked you to us, and the campaign name if the link you followed carried one. We do not store your IP address against a page view. Instead we combine it with your browser description and a secret value we change every day, and keep only the one-way fingerprint — which cannot be reversed, and which cannot be matched to yesterday's. Individual page views are deleted after 90 days; only daily totals remain. This count stays on our own servers and is never combined with your account, your applications or your profile.

Google Analytics. We also use Google Analytics 4, a service from Google, to understand how Fresherz is used and to improve it. When you open a page, a script from Google records which pages you view and how long you stay, your device, browser and screen size, your approximate location (city and country, worked out from your IP address), your language and the site that linked you to us. The address and title of each page you view are sent to Google; the address of a public profile includes its owner's name. Google Analytics sets two cookies in your browser, _ga and _ga_WER98W2CD0, so that it can recognise the same browser on a later visit; each lasts up to two years. We ask Google to shorten your IP address, and Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. We do not send Google your name, email address, CV or anything else from your account, and we do not use Google Analytics to show you advertising. Google processes this data outside Bangladesh. You can stop it by blocking cookies in your browser, by using a content blocker, or with Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout; Fresherz works the same without it. The Cookie Policy describes both kinds of measurement in full.

Emails we send. Some of our emails — at the moment, the reminders to finish your profile — contain a small invisible image and links that pass through our own server first. They tell us whether that email was opened and whether its button was pressed, and when; nothing else is recorded. Many email apps block or load images on their own, so this is only a rough guide. Every reminder carries an unsubscribe link that works without signing in, and you can switch reminders off in your notification settings.

If you sign in with Google. We ask Google only for your name, email address and profile picture (the openid, profile and email scopes). We never receive your Google password and we cannot read your Gmail, Drive or contacts.

We do not ask for your National ID number, and you should not put it in your profile. If our CV reader finds a number that looks like an identity document, it is written to skip it.

Why we collect it

  • To run your account — sign you in, keep you signed in, verify your email address, and recover access.

  • To show your profile to the employers you choose — see "What employers can see" below.

  • To send your applications — an employer receives your profile, your CV, your cover letter and your screening answers when you apply.

  • To send the emails you asked for — job alerts, application updates, new messages.

  • To keep the platform honest and safe — moderating listings, automatically checking messages, written text and pictures for abuse, acting on abuse reports, rate-limiting, and blocking fraud.

  • To bill employers — credits, invoices and receipts for paid employer accounts.

Artificial intelligence: reading your CV and checking your writing

Two features on Fresherz use an AI model, and both of them only run when you press a button. A third use of AI — checking content for abuse — is not optional; it is described separately under "Keeping Fresherz safe" below.

Reading your CV. When you upload a CV, we scan it for viruses first. Only if it is clean do we send its text — and, when the page images are needed to read a two-column layout, pictures of up to two pages — to an AI model provider. Today that provider is OpenAI, reached directly through its business API. If OpenAI cannot answer, the request falls back to our own gateway, run by Shakvaro, which routes it to Google (Gemini) or Anthropic (Claude); if none of them answers, a plain reader built into Fresherz does the job with no AI at all. The model returns a draft of your name, contact details, education, experience and skills. Nothing is written to your profile until you tick the sections you want and press Apply. Nothing already in your profile is ever overwritten by the AI, and no row is ever replaced — entries are only added.

Checking your writing. The "enhance" feature sends the text you wrote about yourself to the same gateway and offers suggested edits. You accept or reject each one, and you can undo the whole thing afterwards. Correction of Bangla text is switched off, because the available models are not good enough at Bangla for us to be confident in a correction to somebody's own language.

Your allowance is three runs of each feature, for the lifetime of your account — three CV reads and three writing checks. A run only counts when a model actually answered; if the gateway fails, you are not charged for it. Your remaining runs are shown on the page.

We do not use an AI to decide whether you get a job. The "fit score" an employer sees on an applicant card is calculated by us from the skills and requirements on the listing, not by a model, and it ranks a list — it never rejects anybody.

What the AI providers do with it, and where it goes. Every provider we use is reached through its business API, whose published terms state that content submitted that way is not used to train their models, and nothing is sent to a consumer chat product. The fallback gateway is run by Shakvaro, the vendor that built and maintains Fresherz, and Shakvaro does not use what passes through it to train any model. These providers process your CV outside Bangladesh — OpenAI, Google and Anthropic are United States companies — so sending a CV to be read means that text leaves the country. Reading your CV and checking your writing are opt-in, and neither runs unless you press the button: if you would rather no model ever read your CV, do not press it. The plain reader works without one, and you can always type your profile in yourself.

Keeping Fresherz safe: automatic checks for abuse

To keep Fresherz safe, messages (including messages with a seller in Campus Commerce), profile text, cover letters, answers to screening questions, product titles and descriptions, and uploaded pictures — profile photos, company logos and cover images, shop logos and covers, product photos and complaint photos — are checked automatically for harmful content by OpenAI's moderation service. It looks for harassment, hate, threats, violence, sexual content and self-harm; text is also compared with a short list of words our staff maintain. This check is not optional. Unlike reading your CV, it runs on everything listed here whether or not you press anything, because it exists to protect the people you write to and the people who see your pictures.

A message that is clearly harmful may be hidden from both sides until a member of our team reviews it. Other content that looks harmful is flagged for a person to look at. A profile photo, logo, cover or product photo that is clearly explicit or graphically violent is refused when you upload it, and a picture we could not check may be kept out of public view until our team has looked at it. The automatic check never suspends or bans anybody on its own — a person decides. You can also report a message or a profile yourself, and that report goes to the same team.

OpenAI receives only the text or picture being checked, through its business API, acting on our behalf; its published terms state that content sent this way is not used to train its models. OpenAI is a United States company and processes this outside Bangladesh. When something is flagged, we keep a copy of the flagged text with the record so our team can review it. Records of a decision are deleted after 90 days, and closing your account removes the copied text.

What employers can see

You control this with the visibility setting on your profile.

  • Public — your profile has a public web address (/p/your-name), search engines can index it, and employers can find you in the profile search.

  • Visible to employers I applied to — your profile is not public and not searchable; only an employer whose opening you applied to can open it.

  • Private — nobody but you.

Separately, you can publish your profile while keeping your mobile number off it. Your date of birth is never shown publicly. When you apply to a listing, that employer sees your profile, your CV, your cover letter and your screening answers regardless of the visibility setting — applying is the act of sharing.

Employers can see when their listing's applicants were viewed and can message you. You can archive a conversation; archiving hides it from your inbox and does not delete it from theirs.

Who else we share data with

We do not sell your data and we do not give it to advertisers. We share it with:

  • Employers, as described above.

  • Our AI gateway (Shakvaro) and the model provider it routes to, for the two features above only.

  • OpenAI, to check messages, text and pictures for abuse, as described above.
  • Google Analytics, to measure how the site is used, as described above.
  • Our email delivery providers — currently based in the United States — to deliver the emails you asked for.

  • Our hosting provider — a virtual private server located in Bangladesh, connected to the BDIX national exchange — where the servers run.

  • Google, if you choose to sign in with Google.

  • Authorities, where a law of Bangladesh requires it and the request is properly made.

Some of these providers operate outside Bangladesh, which means your data may be processed abroad. Our own servers, and the database that holds your profile, your CV and your messages, are in Bangladesh. Google (for sign-in and for Google Analytics), our email delivery providers and OpenAI process abroad, and the model providers behind our AI gateway may. Each of them receives only what its job requires — and for the CV reader and the writing check, only at the moment you use them. We do not promise that every provider will one day sit inside Bangladesh, because there is no equivalent local provider for email delivery or for the AI features today; if that changes, we would rather move than tell you we already had.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and profile for as long as your account is open. Applications, messages and invoices are kept as a record of what happened between you and an employer, because they are that employer's record too. Web-server logs are rotated daily and kept for seven days. Database backups are kept for fourteen days and then deleted. Records of the automatic abuse checks are deleted 90 days after a decision. Google keeps Google Analytics data for the period set in our Google Analytics account. A CV upload whose reading never finished is marked failed within fifteen minutes and swept; a listing that passes its closing date stops being published. We do not currently delete inactive accounts automatically, and if we ever introduce an inactivity rule we will say so on this page and email anyone it would affect before it takes effect.

Closing your account and erasing your data

Write to support@fresherzjob.com and ask us to close your account. When we do, we permanently remove your name, email address, mobile number, photograph, video introduction, uploaded CV files and everything our CV reader had extracted from them, your headline, your "about" text, your public contact details, your date of birth and your links; your public profile page is unpublished and its web address is changed so your name no longer appears in it. This part cannot be undone.

What stays is the shape of your history — that an application was made, that an employer shortlisted somebody, that an invoice was issued — because deleting those would damage the records of people who did not ask to leave. Your name is not attached to them.

There is no self-service "delete my account" button yet. We are saying so rather than implying otherwise. Until there is one, an email to that address does exactly the same thing — the same erasure described above, run by a person — and we act on it within ten working days.

Your other choices

  • See and correct your data — everything we hold about you as a candidate is on your profile and settings pages, and you can edit it.

  • Stop the emails — every job alert and every profile reminder carries a one-click unsubscribe link that works without signing in, and notification preferences are in your settings.
  • Opt out of Google Analytics — block its cookies in your browser, or install Google's opt-out add-on from tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

  • Take your data with you — you can download your profile as a PDF CV at any time.

  • Hide yourself — set your profile to private, or turn off "open to work".

How we protect it

Sign-in runs over an encrypted connection. Passwords are put through industry-standard one-way protection and are never readable — not by us, and not by anyone who obtained the stored value. Uploaded CVs are kept privately and are reachable only through links that expire, never a guessable address. Every uploaded CV is checked for malware before anything reads it. Access between accounts is checked on every request, so one employer cannot reach another employer's applicants. No system is perfect, and if we ever suffer a breach affecting your data we will tell you and the relevant authority. Where the Personal Data Protection Act, 2026 requires us to notify the National Data Management Authority, we will do so as soon as we can and in any case within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, and we will tell the people affected without waiting for that process to finish. The Act leaves the deadline to regulations that have not yet been issued, so the 72 hours is a promise we are making rather than one being made for us.

Children

Fresherz is for people looking for internships and jobs. You must be at least 16 to open an account. If you are under 18, you may use Fresherz only with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian, and only for work the Bangladesh Labour Act, 2006 permits at your age.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will say so on this page and change the "Last updated" date, and where the change affects how your data is shared we will tell you with a notice on Fresherz.

Complaints

Write to our grievance officer at support@fresherzjob.com. We aim to answer within ten working days. You may also complain to the Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP) about a paid service, or to the relevant authority under Bangladesh's data protection law.
